What happens
- A bath, a gentle dry and a brush, with plenty of breaks.
- Nails, ears and a light tidy of the face and feet. No full haircut on the first visit unless you ask.
- Your groomer tells you what went well and what to practice at home, like touching paws and ears.
When to start
- Once your puppy has had its puppy vaccines, usually from about 12 to 16 weeks.
- Book a bath and tidy and add a note that it is the first groom.
How often
Every 4 to 6 weeks while they are young, so grooming becomes routine.
